Monthly Fiber Update: October
Never Cheaper – Time to Switch!
55yr old+ get 2 lines with unlimited talk, text and LTE data on America’s best unlimited network for $60/mo. with AutoPay.
If you are 55 or older, T-Mobile has an incredible deal for you and your partner. For just $60 a month, you get 2 phone lines with unlimited everything, and all taxes and fees are included. That’s a $40 a month savings compared to your younger peers.
T-Mobile is now officially “The Best LTE Network in the San Juan’s.” Remember – AT&T, Verizon and Sprint each have 4 cell locations in our entire county, and that equipment is old and decaying by the minute. Now compare that to T-Mobile. Rock Island will be lighting up a total of 40 T-Mobile cell locations in San Juan County (with over 30 currently online), and be certain we’re using the best equipment in the business.
There has never been a better time to switch to T-Mobile if you are 55 or older. We’re not sure how long this promotion will last, so hurry to ensure you grab these great savings while they last.
Get yourself prepared for your visit by using our handy onboarding checklist. Your local store is in Friday Harbor, but we’re also occasionally venturing out to Orcas and Lopes with our mobile T-Mobile Mini. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to learn about coming to your island.
A Note for One-Plan Boomers: If there is only one of you looking to switch, T-Mobile still has a deal for you. You pay only $50 a month for one subscriber including all taxes and fees (vs. $70 for a younger generation).
Visit T-Mobile’s website to learn more.
Eastsound Fiber Archeology
There has been a team of archaeologists in Eastsound this week working side-by-side with Rock Island installing fiber vaults along Main and North Beach Roads. This is a milestone moment for those awaiting a connection in Eastsound.
For those of you who don’t know, this project has been delayed for months and months due to the concerns of Tribes with roots in our area. With permits and mitigating agreements in place to properly handle artifacts found during our digging, Historical Research Associates, Inc. is here this week to see the final stages of the project come to fruition.
Once fiber vaults are set in town this week, we move on to blowing fiber, setting network interface devices on buildings, and last, connecting those who want to be connected to our fiber network
We want to send out a special thank you to those in Eastsound still waiting to connect. This has been a very long road, and we thank you for your patience. Your blazing-fast Internet connection is coming soon.
We currently have fiber construction projects happening all over the county. Look at the groups currently in construction or in our project planning phase. This list represents hundreds of homes and businesses soon to be connected to our fiber network. There are also about 1,000 people in some form of organizing stage beyond these groups. WOW!
With about 10% of the county already connected to our fiber, and about 15% represented by the list below or in the organizing phase, we should see about 25% of the county connected in the next few tears.
